Modeling of EGFR-mediated signaling through the Gab1 adaptor protein
Presents extended model and experimental results for the EGFR signaling network. The extended model vividly illustrates the problem of combinatorial complexity and demonstrates the use of the domain-oriented model reduction approach introduced in several previous papers (PMID 16430778, PMID 16242235, and PMID 15923229) to reduce the number of states to a tractable number (~350). Work is ongoing to develop a BNG version of the model.
