BNGEditor
From BioNetWiki
BioNetGen comes with integrated development environment (IDE) called BNGEditor that provides an editor, network visualization, a simulation interface, and graphing tools. Please download the appropriate distribution for your operating system.
- MacOSX (Unzip this file first to obtain the executable jar file.)
- Windows (You will also need to have a version of Perl installed. If you have cygwin installed, make sure that the Perl package is also installed. The easiest standalone Perl option for Windows is Strawberry Perl. ActivePerl is also a good option.)
Configuration
To download the BioNetGen distribution files mentioned below you will need to obtain a username and password by sending email to bionetgen@lanl.gov (you may suggest a preferred username in your email, or we will assign one).
- Once you have downloaded the distribution, unzip in a convenient location.
- BNGEditor is Java-based program, so please make sure you have Java installed before running it. You can click here to find out.
- Most BNGEditor features should be enabled by default. Check the operating-specific ReadMe file in the main distribution directory for additional instructions.
- To get started using BioNetGen go to the Documentation page.
BNGEditor is a joint project of the Faeder and Marai Labs at the University of Pittsburgh. Yao Sun was the original developer of BNGEditor. Current developers are Adam Smith and Wen Xu.
